- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I wish I can give no stars. Only in this small crooked town will they send a loved one away to jail for 6 months for possessing less than a gram of marijuana. Not to mention that if they didn't use their racial profiling they wouldn't have been able to find the little thing. I am a white female with a black passenger that was pulled over for "driving in the passing lane" heading back home to Houston from a trip. I was asked to step out of my vehicle, asked a few questions, and was let off with a warning. But when it came to my brother who was with me, since he is half black, they asked to search him and MY vehicle without asking ME, THE OWNER. He admitted to having a little bit of marijuana. They did not ONCE ask to search ME. What this police department needs to understand is that your little chump change that you wish to make out of putting someone in a horrific situation is not right. I stand behind my belief that is is over SKIN COLOR. Understand that because of your greed you are keeping these people away from their children, their jobs, their rent, their LIFE. Over possessing a finger nail worth of WEED? That has been scientifically proven to help cure many illnesses? The system, especially this county, is CORRUPT. There is no jail time nor probation for people that do this in Houston. PLEASE seek the LORD AND LEARN TO LOOK PASSED SKIN COLOR, BECAUSE THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!By Corina Vancia, January 28, 2017
